In this temporary role I am required to meet and greet all visitors to the Peugeot showroom, answer all telephone calls and redirect callers to the appropriate department.

OPERATIONS MANAGER
Capacity Media U.K. | Dec 2018 – Jul 2019

In this role I worked on the largest Wholesale Telecoms Conference in the world. My role was to work with the event sponsors and customers to source and deliver sponsored items and services. I was also managed the 5K Charity run for 150 entrants, wrote and produced the city guide to be used by delegates, wrote and produces the temporary staff (known as ambassadors) training manual and assisted in the production of the event guide. I also worked with a supplier to design and launch an online exhibitor ordering portal.

EVENT MANAGER & DESIGN
WebsEdge Ltd U.K. | Apr 2013 – Dec 2018

I held the events role with WebsEdge for about 6 years and the role changed a few times while I was working with them. When I first stated we were doing about 24 conferences per year which had increased to between 35 and 40 by the time I left. Also during time I undertook the role of production support which was then turned into a separate part time role. I was then sent on a training course and undertook all the design work for out TV studio back drops and other printed collateral.

In this role along side working on their annual conference I was also responsible for managing a women’s leadership program to promote women into management roles in what has traditionally been a male dominated industry. This program worked with women from across Europe and required me to help organise events in other European cities including Strasbourg, Budapest and Malta.

 

EARLIER CAREER SUMMARY

Venue Manager/Company Manager – Spiegelworld LP (Australia / U.S.A.) 2008 – 2009
This was an extremely demanding, fun and exciting role venue managing a circus in New York City. This venue consisted of a 450 seat  and a 200 seat performance spaces, 3 bars, a VIP area, a disco, the box office, merchandise stand all of which fell under my jurisdiction. There was also a restaurant on site who I worked along side to ensure that guests had a great visitor experience.

Executive Assistant – Diageo (Ireland) 2008
In this role I was the EA to the head of the larger brands marketing team located at St James’s Gate, Guinness Factory in Dublin. Along with being the first point of contact to the manager and looking after his diary and all travel arrangements, I also provided admin support to the rest of the marketing team.

Events Officer – Brisbane City Council (Australia) 2001 – 2007
I stared with Brisbane City Council as a Trainee Event Manager and over the six years I worked there, progressed to other roles before running a recreation program called Active Parks that provides activities in parks across Brisbane at low or no cost to residents. This was a wonderful role and during my time in this role I was successful in researching, negotiating and adding new activities to the quarterly schedule of events which consisted of upwards of about 1500 small events with a annual budget of $750,000 AUD
